A Little Elbow Grease to Bring it Back to Life

Before

I have an antique table that has needed some major love, since the cats have used it as a launching pad, I usually have a table clothe on top but since our house is going to be on a historical tour I wanted to show off this piece of furniture. So yesterday I sat down with the necessary supplies and went to work.

Spring Motto Less is More

Almost a year ago I posted pictures of my then newly organized studio, (above) here is my studio with the motto of Less is more! (below)

Having put our house on the market a few weeks ago and all the preparatory work that you do before it is ready to show for the public. Over the weeks leading up I started removing things and just clearing out all clutter, moved furniture to optimize the space, put color where color was needed. Our house is so much easier to live in now thus this is the year of Less is More!

Unfinished Piece

I really like the chain portion of this necklace, there are 5 different kinds which gives it some interesting depth.

I think I need to add some chunky wire to the ribbon part of the necklace to create a bit of contrast.

Duran Duran and Experimental Necklace Making

I just finished making this necklace and I am wondering what you all think? It's a new type of design that I am experimenting with, while watching Artist Main: Duran Duran on VH1

Time to get Creative

I am finishing up my contract job and have my house is immaculate so now I have time to get to work on more necklaces. A new Michaels just opened up and I have been meaning to check it out, it is huge as it was a former circuit city and packed with great craft ideas. I only explored the bead and chain section as I didn't want to empty out the checking account! Here is a snap shot of my work area and yes my mannequin is wearing a bra!
